Whale and Dolphin Watching

Sri Lanka is becoming popular as a one of the hotspots to see whales and dolphins. The seas around Sri Lanka offer the chance to see Dolphins, Blue Whales & Sperm Whales in concentrations not seen elsewhere in the world. Dondra Point in Mirissa off the coast of Galle and Kalpitiya off the north east coast of Sri Lanka are the two places you can spot this cheering fishes. Best time to go is between December to January and April. You can still spot them during the months of February and March though you have to avoid choppy rough days. Morning hours are the best.
