Water Edge Resort was started in year of 1970 as a very small guesthouse with the name of Hilltion Gusthouse. After a few years it has spared with several cabanas at Arugambay beach. The surf resort also ran successfully during the civil war period in Sri Lanka. With the tsunami disaster in year 2004 the surf resort was totally destroyed. Now the surf resort was again strongly established to serve for the people who like to surf at beautiful Arugambay beach.

Located in a small fishing village of Arugam Bay, south of Pottuvil in the Ampara District, the beachfront resort offers private rooms with a bathroom. It is a few minutes’ walk from the popular surfing spot of Arugam Bay Point.
